The Office of Engineering oversees work for infrastructure projects, including design, maintenance, and construction of roads, bridges, sewers, and buildings, while also reviewing plans, approving specifications, evaluating bids, supervising projects for compliance, certifying performance for payment, and accepting completed work for all County projects.
Middlesex County Ride:
Middlesex County Ride is the passenger transportation office of the Department of Transportation.
Office of Network Operations Center:
The Network Operations Center (NOC) is a state-of-the-art facility developed by Middlesex County to serve as the central operations hub for the various smart initiatives aimed at implementing cutting-edge technologies in the day-to-day delivery of County services; positioning the County as a leader in Connected and Autonomous Vehicle (CAV) technology development; and attracting and retaining technology companies and a highly skilled workforce to the larger region.
Office of Planning:
The Office of Planning is responsible for preparing and implementing master plans, studies, and development regulations to improve the quality of life for County residents and to create a safer, more resilient, and sustainable environment. The Office of Planning provides staff and technical assistance to the County Planning Board and other boards and commissions.
Office of Public Works:
The Office of Public Works is responsible for the inspection and maintenance of all County roads within the jurisdiction of Middlesex County.
