Public Safety Alliance for Individuals with Disabilities

The Public Safety Alliance for Individuals with Disabilities (PSAID) is a no cost, voluntary service open to any individual with a disability who resides, works, or attends school in Middlesex County. The purpose of the database is to help law enforcement, and first responders better assist residents with a disability in an emergency situation or during a police encounter. The program provides crucial information regarding an enrollee’s disability, i.e., physical or mental impairment, emergency contact information, physical description, and current photograph.

Individuals can enroll themselves, or they can be enrolled by a family member or a caretaker on our secure website. To learn more, click here.

BLUE CARES provides a 24-hour hotline number for individuals or family members in need of information, guidance, and recovery support.

The Middlesex County law enforcement community has introduced a drug addiction recovery assistance program called BLUE CARES with a mission to help individuals afflicted with substance use disorder/addiction by utilizing community partners to most effectively treat and prevent drug addiction, while promoting lasting recovery and fighting perceived stigma. Safe Place Program

The Safe Place Program is an initiative promoting safety and encouraging the reporting of all hate crimes to the local police. Members of the community can find a Safe Place by looking for the Safe Place sticker and each Safe Place partner provides victims of bias crimes, discrimination, or harassment with a safe environment, assistance with contacting local law enforcement, and a place to safely wait for help to arrive.
