Opioid Resources

In response to the ongoing opioid epidemic affecting communities nationwide and locally, Middlesex County is addressing this public health crisis through a comprehensive, coordinated continuum of care that includes prevention, treatment, harm reduction, and long-term recovery support.

To ensure that funds from the nationwide opioid settlement are used responsibly and effectively, the Middlesex County Board of County Commissioners established the Middlesex County Opioid Settlement Advisory and Implementation Council (MOSAIC) in March 2023. The Advisory Council is composed of individuals with lived experience, along with experts in behavioral health, substance use disorders, and community outreach. This group of experts provides insights and recommendations to ensure opioid settlement funds are invested in proven, evidence-based strategies that save lives, support individuals and families, and strengthen community-wide responses to substance use disorder.
