Middlesex County provides FREE naloxone (generic of Narcan®) to community organizations, families, and individuals to reduce overdose deaths and enhance emergency response outcomes.

Availability includes:

• Single-dose kits for individual use are available at the 24-hour Healthcare Kiosks and at participating pharmacies. For a list of participating pharmacies, click here.

With fully automated, 24-hour healthcare kiosks in Woodbridge and New Brunswick, residents have free, around-the-clock access to essential health and wellness supplies and information on treatment options for individuals impacted by the opioid epidemic. The kiosks offer discreet access to harm reduction supplies 24/7.

The kiosks located at Unity Square and 4 Kirkpatrick Street in New Brunswick and the Woodbridge Health Department are stocked with essential, life-saving resources, including:

• Linkage to Middlesex County Behavioral Health Navigators
• Information on behavioral health resources available to Middlesex County residents
• Naloxone (generic of Narcan®) , used to reverse opioid overdoses
• Fentanyl and Xylazine testing strips
• Wound care supplies
• Basic hygiene products

Additionally, the kiosks provide information on local free medical clinics, the Good Samaritan Overdose Prevention Law, and comprehensive directories for prevention, treatment, and recovery services.

Middlesex County connects residents to a broad network of behavioral health services addressing substance use disorders, mental health needs, and co-occurring conditions.

These resources support individuals at every stage of recovery and include:

• Substance use disorder treatment programs
• Mental health counseling and therapy
• Crisis intervention and stabilization services

Through this Middlesex County law-enforcement-led initiative, facilitated by the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General’s Helping Hands program, callers can receive immediate assistance with treatment referrals, recovery planning, navigation of community resources, and family support.
