Secure Mail Delivery - LIAM Connect System

To enhance facility security and improve the processing of inmate mail, the Middlesex County Adult Corrections Center has implemented the LIAM Connect System. This system provides secure, digital methods for submitting both personal and legal correspondence to incarcerated individuals, ensuring compliance with security protocols and the protection of privileged communications. The LIAM Connect platform consists of two distinct portal - LIAM Safe and LIAM Legal - each designated for specific types of mail entering the facility. 

Personal Mail Portal (LIAM Safe)

LIAM Safe provides a secure and convenient way for family and friends to send personal, non-legal correspondence to inmates electronically. All incoming mail is digitally screened and printed directly within the facility to eliminate the risk of contraband while preserving communication between inmates and their loved ones. 

Privileged Mail Portal (LIAM Legal)

LIAM Legal is a secure and confidential platform for attorneys and public defenders to send privileged legal correspondence directly to cleans in custody. The system ensures complete protection of attorney - client privilege while streamlining the legal mail process. Attorneys may continue to send legal mail through standard postal methods; however, LIAM Legal provides a more secure convenient alternative for privileged communications.
