Infrastructure Operations
The Office of Infrastructure Operations, within the Department of Infrastructure Management, includes the Trades, Parks Maintenance, and project managers. This department provides oversight, guidance, and implementation of all day to day operations, including emergent issues and capital improvements.
Our Trades Division is a collective team, compromised of licensed electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, and carpenters. We also staff journeymen in their respective trades, as well as apprentices the County sponsors in the nationally recognized US Department of Labor Apprenticeship program. The Trades are responsible for responding to work order tickets through Asset Essentials, performing preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment, and designing/constructing capital improvement projects in all of our parks and County-owned facilities.
Parks Maintenance is responsible for the day to day functionality of our County parks. This includes upkeep of ballfields and athletic courts, picnic groves, and general public use areas. In addition, our Parks maintenance staff is utilized for County events held within the parks system, including but not limited to Plays-In-the-Park, our summer concert series, and the ice-rink facility.
The project management team within the Office of Infrastructure Operations manages work order tickets, emergent issues, and projects within the County. They often work with other departments, coordinating roles and responsibilities within projects, and identifying assets and needs as projects and emergent issues arise. In addition, they provide guidance and support within application processes such as Asset Essentials, and the introduction of building management systems utilized across our facilities.
