Registration Deadlines
- The deadline to register for the General Election is October 14, 2025.
- The deadline to apply by Mail for a Mail-In Ballot is October 28, 2025.
- The deadline to apply in person for a Mail-In Ballot is November 3, 2025 by 3 pm.

Vote by Mail
The deadline to opt out of receiving a Vote by Mail ballot for the November 4, 2025, General Election is on September 8, 2025.
If you do not receive your ballot by October 8, 2025 you may request a replacement ballot from the County Clerk’s Office by calling 732-745-4202 or by sending a replacement ballot request form.
To return your Mail-In Ballot, choose one of these options:
- Mail your ballot through the United States Postal Service by 8 pm on November 4, 2025 to ensure it is postmarked on or before Election Day, November 4, 2025.
- The deadline to apply in person for a Mail-In Ballot is November 3, 2025 by 3 pm.
- Drop your ballot in a designated Middlesex County Board of Elections’ drop box by 8 pm on Election Day, November 4, 2025.
- Take it directly to the Board of Elections’ Office in East Brunswick by 8 pm on Election Day, November 4, 2025.
Drop boxes are maintained by the Middlesex County Board of Elections, are secure, and monitored by video surveillance. Ballots are collected from drop boxes on a regular basis.

Vote In-Person
Early Voting:
In-person early voting locations will be open Saturday, October 25 through Sunday, November 2 for the 2025 General Election. Hours will be Monday to Saturday, 10 am-8 pm and Sunday, 10 am-6 pm. No appointment is necessary.

On Election Day:
Registered voters may vote in person on Election Day, November 4, 2025, by proceeding to their assigned polling location. Polling locations will be open from 6 am-8 pm.

Gubernatorial Candidate Statements
In accordance with N.J.A.C. 19:25-15.44, candidates for the office of Governor are entitled to submit a prepared ballot statement to be posted on the county clerk’s websites.
For the 2025 New Jersey General Election, two candidates have submitted ballots statements: Mikie Sherrill and Jack Ciartarelli.
