Application to Green Acres Park Development Program

PURPOSE: The County of Middlesex is seeking funding through the State of NJ Green Acres Program for park improvements to a vacant lot located at 675-739 Middlesex Avenue and closest to the intersection of Middlesex Avenue and Memorial Parkway in Metuchen, NJ.

PROJECT SCOPE: The County of Middlesex proposes to create the following new facilities at the vacant lot: a new park to be known as Metuchen Trailhead Park at the Middlesex County Greenway, with a welcoming central green space, tiered seating overlooking the lawn, pedestrian pathways, seating and shade structures, picnic and play areas, parking, and permanent bathrooms.
