Middlesex County Board of County Commissioners Hosts 2026 Reorganization Meeting

On January 7, 2026, Middlesex County leaders convened at the Middlesex College Performing Arts Center for the County’s annual Swearing-In Ceremony and Reorganization Meeting — an occasion to reflect on the County’s accomplishments in 2025 and set the stage for bold initiatives for the year ahead. Joined by Governor Phil Murphy, Governor-Elect Mikie Sherrill, and Assembly Speaker Craig J. Coughlin, the Board reaffirmed its commitment to making Middlesex County a leading regional destination.

The meeting included the swearing-in of re-elected County Commissioners Claribel A. Azcona-Barber, Charles Kenny, and Chanelle Scott McCullum, along with constitutional officers County Clerk Nancy J. Pinkin and Sheriff Mildred S. Scott. Following the ceremony, Commissioner Ronald G. Rios was re-elected by his colleagues to serve as Director of the Board, and Commissioner Shanti Narra was re-elected to serve as Deputy Director.
