Middlesex County Prosecutor Linda Estremera and North Brunswick Police Director Joseph Battaglia announced today that a nurse practitioner was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

On March 6th, 2026, the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office was notified by the New Jersey Division of Child Protection and Permanency that a 16-year-old juvenile reported that he had been assaulted by a nurse practitioner while inside of the medical unit within the Middlesex County Youth Shelter.

An investigation conducted by Detective Christopher Van Eerde of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and Detective Badway Badawy of the North Brunswick Police Department, determined that Izee Dizon, 34, of Bridgewater, had inappropriate physical and verbal contact with the juvenile inside the shelter.

On March 8, 2026, Dizon was arrested without incident and charged with third-degree Aggravated Assault and third-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

As is the case with all criminal defendants, the charges against Dizon are merely accusations, and he is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
