Serious Crash Under Investigation

Middlesex County Prosecutor Linda Estremera and Chief Vincent Sabo of the New Brunswick Police Department announced today that a serious crash is under investigation in the City of New Brunswick.

On March 8, 2026, at approximately 10:15 P.M., the New Brunswick Police Department responded to the intersection of Route 18 and Paulus Boulevard after receiving a report of a serious crash. Authorities determined that a Tractor Trailer operated by a 57- year-old male from Norristown, Pennsylvania and a BMW operated by a 27-year-old female from Parlin had been involved in a crash. The driver of the BMW was transported to JFK Medical Center where she was initially treated for serious head injuries. She has since been transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital for treatment where she remains in critical condition. The driver of the Tractor Trailer did not sustain any serious injuries from the crash.

After further investigation it was determined that an Infiniti Q50 operated by 27- year-old male from Parlin was also involved in the collision. The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation.
