“Middlesex County is proud to congratulate Commissioner Charles Kenny on being elected as Chair of the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority (NJTPA) Board of Trustees, for a two-year term effective January 12, 2026.

Throughout his tenure on the NJTPA Board of Trustees and in Middlesex County, Commissioner Kenny has consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to transportation safety, innovation, and regional collaboration. From championing Vision Zero strategies to reduce traffic fatalities, to supporting the County’s RIDE program and leading our annual Transportation Symposium, his work has helped expand safe, reliable options for how people and goods move throughout our communities.

As Chair of the NJTPA Board of Trustees and Chair of the Middlesex County Department of Transportation, Commissioner Kenny will continue to ensure that federal transportation investments are planned and prioritized with a focus on safety, accessibility, and long-term mobility.”
