Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Chief Raymond Hayducka of the South Brunswick Police Department announced today that the fatal crash that occurred on November 26, 2025, in South Brunswick Township is under investigation.
On November 26, 2025, at approximately 4:24 P.M., South Brunswick Police Department received a report of a collision on New Road between Route 522 and Route 1. When authorities arrived on scene, they found three vehicles involved in the crash. The police investigation revealed, a 2017 Subaru Legacy operated by a 24-year-old woman from Manalapan, was traveling westbound on New Road when she crossed the double yellow median and struck a 2000 Dodge Caravan, operated by Nancy Krauss, 61, of Kendall Park, NJ. As result of the initial collision, a third vehicle, a 2012 Subaru Outback operated by a 42-year-old woman from Kendall Park, NJ, rear ended the Dodge Caravan.
The driver of the 2017 Subaru Legacy was transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the 2012 Subaru Outback sustained no injuries. Ms. Krauss was transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in critical condition. Later that night Ms. Krauss succumbed to her injuries and was ultimately pronounced deceased at the hospital.
