Iselin Man Arrested in Connection with Fatal Stabbing

Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Director Joseph Nisky of the Woodbridge Township Police Department announced today that an Iselin man was arrested and charged in connection with a homicide that occurred on October 30, 2025, in the Iselin section of Woodbridge Township.

On October 30, 2025, at approximately 9:56 A.M., Woodbridge Police Department received a 911 call reporting an altercation. Upon their arrival, authorities discovered Marianne Straley, 63, of Iselin, with multiple stab wounds. Straley was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Initial investigation led by Detective Eric Manresa of the Woodbridge Police Department and Detective Olivia Ankudowicz of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office, led to the arrest of Roosevelt Oglesby, 63, of Iselin. Moreover, Straley and Roosevelt knew each other prior to the incident, thus it was not a random act of violence.

Oglesby was arrested without incident and charged with first-degree Murder, third-degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose, and fourth-degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon. Oglesby is being held at the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Center pending the results of his Pre-Trial detention hearing.

As with all criminal defendants, the charges against Oglesby are just allegations, and he is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
