Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Chief Kenneth Cop of the Rutgers Police Department announced today that a Rutgers student has been hospitalized after sustaining serious injuries at a residence in New Brunswick.

On October 15, 2025, at approximately 12:26 A.M., Rutgers Police Department responded to a disconnected 911 call. Upon their arrival, officers located a 19-year-old Rutgers student who had been injured and was unresponsive. The 19-year-old was transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
