Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone announced today that Tory James, 23, of Plainfield, NJ, has been charged in connection with Endangering the Welfare of a Child in Plainfield, NJ. James is a current substitute teacher at the Queen City Academy Charter School and a mentor at the Queen City Mentoring Academy, a “Day Camp” for young women and men of Plainfield, NJ.
On August 15, 2025, James was arrested without incident and charged with second-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child and third-degree Promoting Obscene Material to a child under the age of 18.

As with all criminal defendants, the charges against Tory James are merely accusations and he is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
