MIDDLESEX COUNTY, NJ—The Middlesex County Division of Solid Waste Management is adopting a new, simplified approach to plastic recycling in line with updated State guidelines. Residents can now recycle all plastic bottles, jars, jugs, and tubs that are one gallon or less in size, regardless of the number or code printed on the bottom.
Common examples of these plastic items include but are not limited to water, soda, juice, and detergent bottles, mayonnaise jars, yogurt and margarine tubs, and milk jugs. Residents should not recycle cups, plates, pails, buckets, trash bins, or utensils.
