MIDDLESEX COUNTY, NJ – Middlesex County’s popular photo contest, Picture Middlesex County, is back for the winter season. Running from January 16 through March 27, 2025, the contest invites residents to showcase life and nature across Middlesex County through their lenses. The winning photos, selected by a panel of judges, will be publicly displayed at future County events and featured in marketing materials.
“The Picture Middlesex County photo contest is not just about photography — it’s about celebrating the unique communities and locations across our municipalities that showcase the beauty and diversity of life in Middlesex County,” said Middlesex County Commissioner Director Ronald G. Rios. “Each season, participants amaze us with their creativity and fresh perspectives. I can’t wait to see the stunning images submitted this winter.”
Who Can Enter:
The photo contest is open to all amateur and professional photographers, from youth to adults. Participants ages 17 and under require a parent or guardian’s consent on the entry form.
How to Participate:
Photos must be taken within Middlesex County, New Jersey, during the contest timeframe. Each participant may submit up to two photos per category from January 16 to March 27, 2025.
Contest Categories:
- Nature and Scenery: Landscape scenery, insects, plants, etc.
- People and Places: Community members and locations that make Middlesex County special.
- Animals and Pets: Pets or wildlife such as deer, birds, turtles, etc.
- Comfy and Cozy Moments: Crackling fireplaces, warm beverages, etc.
- Photo Filters and Tricks: Show off your creativity with clever angles, filters, or lighting effects.
After the contest ends, all eligible entries will be added to a new album on the Middlesex County Facebook page. An anonymous judging committee will evaluate the submissions and select the winning entries, which will be announced on the Middlesex County Facebook, Instagram, and X pages and on the Picture Middlesex County landing page.
