250th Event: Revolutionary Celebration: Independence Day on the Raritan

On July 4, 1778, General George Washington ordered the Continental Army to perform a fue de joie (fire of joy) on the banks of the Raritan River. Celebrate that historic event and Independence Day at the Village.

Join General George Washington, the Marquis de Lafayette, and Baron von Steuben for a commemoration of the feu de joie (fire of joy) that took place on the banks of the Raritan River on July 4th, 1778.
