All Middlesex County buildings will remain closed to the general public until further notice due to COVID-19. Only select County services are available on an appointment basis.



Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G) (800.357.2262)​ Customers having trouble paying their bills during the government shutdown are urged to call customer service to discuss their situation.  PSE&G is prepared to extend 60-day grace periods to customers seeking assistance who meet criteria, including financial hardship due to circumstances beyond their control.  PSE&G also reminds customers experiencing financial hardship that there are several programs that offer support for paying utilities including the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) and the Universal Service Fund (USF).

First Energy (Jersey Central Power & Light)​ Programs for customers in need.​


Sprint (888.211.4727)​  Care reps are available to coordinate with qualified customers and the financial team to find a payment option that works and keeps services uninterrupted during the government shutdown. 

T-Mobile (877.749.0909)​ Short term account assistance is available to be tailored to meet the needs of customers who are federal workers.

Verizon Wireless (866.266.1445)​ Verizon is offering flexible payment options including their ‘Promise to Pay’ program.

AT&T (800.331.0500) ​Offering service discounts to furloughed workers, waived late fees, provide extensions and coordinate a revised payment schedule.

Cox Communications (800.234.3993)​ Promise to Pay options to assist in bill paying without service interruptions.​
