  Sewaren Peninsula, Woodbridge Township - 2 Picnic Areas, Playground, Paved Walking Path, and Playing Fields.

• 14. Davidson's Mill Pond Park

  South Brunswick - Small Boat Launching Ramp, Fishing, Lake, and Hiking Trails.

• 15. John A. Phillips Park

  Old Bridge - 3 Soccer Fields, Playgrounds, Cricket Pitch, Softball Field, Baseball Field, and Paved Walkways

• 16. New Brunswick Landing

  Raritan River - Free daily boat docking for boaters and direct pedestrian access to downtown New Brunswick.

• 17. David B. Crabiel Park

  Milltown/North Brunswick Township - Playground, Paved Walkways, Soccer/Lacrosse Turf Field, and Little League Field.

• 18. Middlesex Greenway

  Metuchen, Edison, and Woodbridge - 10-foot wide paved trail for walking, biking and jogging connecting neighborhoods to parks, schools and shopping.

Preserves and Conservation Areas

• 19. Ambrose & Doty’s Brook Natural Area

  Piscataway - Undeveloped conservation area along the Ambrose and Doty's Brook's providing floodplain protection.

• 20. Heathcote Meadows Preserve

  South Brunswick - Provides wonderful opportunities for hiking, walking and wildlife viewing and offers a glimpse into the rich farming history of the area.

• 21. Ireland Brook Conservation Area

  East Brunswick and South Brunswick - Ideal for hiking, photography, wildlife viewing and nature study.

• 22. Jamesburg Park Conservation Area

  East Brunswick, Helmetta, Spotswood, and Monroe Township -   Several miles of trails perfect for hiking, you can find typical Pine Barrens species—pitch pine trees, blueberries, huckleberries and post oaks. 

• 23. John A. Phillips Preserve

  Old Bridge - 6.5 miles of marked hiking trails as well as a 1.5 mile self guided nature trail which offers interpretive brochures available at the trailhead.

• 24. Tamarack Hollow Preserve

  East Brunswick - Two miles of hiking trails make it a great destination for walking, hiking, bird watching and photography.

• 25. Thompson Park Conservation Area

  Monroe Township - Offers passive activities on its nearly 9 miles of trails such as hiking, walking, bird watching and photography.

• 26. Scott's Corner Conservation Area

  South Brunswick - 1/2 mile loop trail for hikers to enjoy an outstanding diversity of wildlife including songbirds and small mammals.

• 27. Plainsboro Preserve

  Plainsboro - Over 1000 acres of protected lands with McCormak Lake, hiking trails, and the NJ Audubon environmental education center.

• 28. Pin Oak Forest

  Woodbridge - 97 acres of protected land along Omar and Rahway Avenues.

• 29. Deep Run Preserve

  Old Bridge - 850 acres of environmentally sensitive pinelands and wetlands.

• 30. Matchaponix Forest

  Monroe - 100 acres of protected land.

• 31. Van Dyke Farm

  South Brunswick - A mile long trail runs through this historic preserved farmland.

• 32. Story Farm

  Monroe - 107 acres of farm fields and wooded areas.

  Edison, South Plainfield – 120 acres in the environmentally sensitive Dismal Swamp area, protecting wetlands and wildlife
