Come out to the County’s Roosevelt Park in Edison and walk with us on Wednesday, Sept. 26 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Registration is free, but required. Contact your local Senior Center to register before the deadline, which is Sept. 10.
“The Walk has so many great opportunities for our seniors: to meet new people, to enjoy a beautiful County park, to exercise and to receive free health screenings,” said Freeholder Blanquita B. Valenti, Chair of the County’s Community Services Committee. “Be sure to register now for this popular event.”
Free health screenings and wellness information will again be available at the event. Boxed lunches will follow the walk. There also will be raffles and free entertainment.
Freeholder Director Ronald G. Rios added: “The Board of Chosen Freeholders is dedicated to providing fun activities for our seniors that promote togetherness and good health. The free health screenings and information are just as important as the walk, and it’s a great opportunity to improve some habits and maintain your healthy habits.”
