County College Breaks Ground on New Student Services Center

​​Officials met September 24th at Middlesex County College in Edison to break ground  for a 26,000-square-foot Student Services Center that will revolutionize the way students register for classes.

Middlesex County Freeholder Deputy Director Barrett Bellante, (second from right in front row) thanked the College Board of Trustees: “For 50 years, utilizing some buildings from the former Raritan Arsenal, the beauty of this campus has been maintained and extended.  With planning and care, the placement of new facilities has enriched the educational experience for the residents of Middlesex County.”

 “I am proud of the quality, accessible and affordable educational opportunity that we offer our residents. This new enrollment service center builds upon a successful architectural plan and is responsive to the mission of our County College,” said Barrett Bellante.

She added: “The County of Middlesex is pleased to partner with the State of New Jersey through the chapter 12 program to invest $6 million toward meeting the future educational needs of our citizens.” 

“I look forward to returning in the fall of 2016 to open this building and its services to all in Middlesex County who come here to obtain a degree, a certificate, take courses for career advancement or personal enrichment classes.”
