Elaine is the first woman to be elected as County Clerk in Middlesex County. She acts on behalf of the United State Department of State accepting applications for passports as Passport Clerk and officiated over 3000 weddings. The County Clerk’s Office is responsible for recording and preserving all property transactions, preparing all election ballots and certifying election results.
Elaine has modernized her entire department and brought them into the 21st century. Recording of documents can be handled by electronic filing and land searches may be done on line as a free service offered by the Middlesex County Clerk. Election results are posted on the County Clerk’s website as soon as they are available.
Elaine’s latest project to help citizens vote was a mass mailing to Middlesex County voters on Early Voting. Encouraging people to exercise their hard fought for right to vote has always been Elaine’s goal.
Some of Elaine’s other accomplishments are President of the Constitutional Officers Association of New Jersey (COANJ) , member of IACREOT (International Association of Clerks, Recorders, Election Officials and Treasurers) and delegate representative of NJAC (New Jersey Association of Counties).
