County Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey and Director Anthony A. Caputo of the New
Brunswick Police Department announce that two men are now in custody in the
fatal assault which caused the death of a City man in the late evening hours of
March 30, 2019.
Robinson, 28, of New Brunswick was captured early this morning at a hotel in
South Plainfield by members of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office, the
New Brunswick Police Department, and the South Plainfield Police Department.
Lyles, 32, also of New Brunswick was previously arrested on March 31, 2019.
Robinson and Lyles are charged with one count first degree murder and one count
of aggravated assault in the second degree for causing the death of Robert
Reilly, 61, also from New Brunswick.
