Help Feed the Needy with our Have a Heart

Daily Giving Calendar

Valentine’s Day is a time for showing your compassion and appreciation to family members, friends, and others in your community. Warm more hearts this winter by helping feed other residents in Middlesex County who are struggling and in need of food. By setting aside just one item of food a day over the coming weeks, your food collection can help others in so many ways. Use our Daily Have a Heart Giving Calendar to help organize your collection and remind yourself how much of a difference you can make. It’s so easy and you’ll feel great knowing you helped make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate.

Volunteer*

*Due to COVID 19 we have temporarily suspended use of volunteers onsite.

We welcome volunteers to assist at our Distribution Center in East Brunswick with sorting and packaging food donations. Individuals can sign up here to volunteer. Any corporate or civic groups interested in volunteering should contact us directly at Jennifer.Apostol@co.middlesex.nj.us for proper arrangements. Please complete the VOLUNTEER APPLICATION if this is your first time volunteering with us.

Donation Drives

Businesses, organizations, clubs and groups are encouraged to sponsor a food drive to help keep our local food pantries stocked. MCFOODS can provide you with the necessary tools to make the drive successful from promotional flyers to best practices guides and storable containers to transportation of donations to the warehousing facility. This flyer can be used or personalized to help promote a food drive with your organization.

Please refer to this step-by-step guide for some suggestions.

Some of the most needed non-perishable foods and necessities include rice, tuna fish, peanut butter, vegetables, canned meats, beans, soups and pasta, as well as personal products, baby items and paper towels.
