Despite COVID-19, there is still a safe and secure way to exercise our right to vote in this year’s primary election, currently scheduled for July 7th.

As per Governor Murphy's Executive Order 144, the upcoming Primary Election will be mainly conducted by Vote By Mail and all active, registered voters will automatically receive a ballot. 

Active Registered Democrats and Republicans

You will automatically receive your Vote By Mail ballot in the mail.

After filling it out, you can:

  • Mail it in from the comfort of your home
  • Drop it off yourself at the Middlesex County Board of Elections
  • Or deliver the ballot yourself to one of the specific and secure drop box locations that will be made available in at least five locations throughout the County.

Active Unaffiliated, Inactive Unaffiliated, and Inactive Democrats & Republicans

You should have recently received a Vote By Mail application from the County Clerk. Please fill it out on and mail it back (postage paid) by June 30th in order to receive a Vote By Mail ballot for the July 7th election.

  • ​Mail it in from the comfort of your home
  • Drop it off yourself at the Middlesex County Board of Elections
  • Or deliver the ballot yourself to one of the secure drop box locations that will be made available throughout the County

Vote in Person

A limited number of polling places will be open on Election Day, but you will only be able to cast your ballot in person using a provisional paper ballot. If you have a disability and need an accessible ballot, please contact the Board of Elections at (732) 745-3471.

If you are a disabled voter and need access to an ADA device to vote on July 7th, please call the Middlesex County Board of Elections at 732-745-3471.
