The 2021 General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 2.

Are there different ways to vote besides going to a polling place on Election Day?

Vote By Mail

Here’s how it works:
  • Apply to let the County Clerk know you would like a mail-in ballot.

    If you are a registered voter who hasn’t already chosen to vote by mail in every election, you will be receiving a Vote By Mail application in the mail automatically that you can send back to us!

  • Other options, especially if you have just recently registered to vote:

    Apply by mail: October 26, 2021
    Apply in person: November 1, 2021 by 3 pm

  • Mail-In Ballots for the General Election will start being sent to voters on September 18, 2021. If you do not receive your ballot by October 4, 2021, you can request a replacement ballot from the County Clerk’s office by calling 732-745-4202 or by sending a replacement ballot request form.

  • Once you receive your ballot in the mail, fill it out and choose the candidates you want to vote for.

  • Return your ballot by:
    • Sending it through the U.S. Postal Service
      • DEADLINE: 8 pm on November 2, 2021 (ballot must be postmarked on or before Election Day, November 2, 2021)

    • Placing it in one of the County’s ballot drop boxes

    • Bringing it to the Board of Elections office in East Brunswick
      • DEADLINE: 8 pm on Election Day, November 2, 2021

Election Day Voting

On Election Day, November 2, 2021, you can vote at your assigned polling location only. Polls will be open from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm.
