Gateway to the Arts is a unique
collaboration between Middlesex County Office of Arts & History and
Johnson & Johnson. This partnership supports and promotes the artistry of
local arts organizations by providing them with the opportunity to perform and
showcase their talents in professional theater venues. In addition, the funding
received from Middlesex County Board of Chosen Freeholders and New Jersey
State Council on the Arts helps maintain the excellence of our core artistic
and educational programs while demonstrating the entrepreneurial resolve to
extend resources, know-how and creativity out into these communities we engage.
These include the Local Arts Program and the Folklife
Program for New Jersey.
Middlesex County Office of Arts & History believes in the power of performing arts to transform lives and that
the shared experience and exploration of the arts will help create a more
culturally connected and vital community.
the Arts grant program offers support to organizations presenting performances
in theater, dance and music. It is designed to:
- Maximize the dollars granted by Middlesex County
Office of Arts &History to diverse local performing groups, by
providing a professional venue and technical services
- To enhance the vibrancy of Middlesex County by
bringing exceptionally talented diverse art groups/performers and new audiences
- Assist in the professional development of diverse and
local arts organizations, through training and technical assistance Improve the social well-being of
county residents and audiences by fostering cultural equity, encouraging
tolerance through understanding and appreciation of cultural differences
We help shape the Middlesex County of
the future through meaningful collaborations with diverse communities,
embracing creativity in all its forms, and enabling a more inclusive, vibrant
performing arts scene across the region.
