The Office of Public and Government Affairs serves as an intergovernmental liaison between the Board of Chosen Freeholders and Federal, State, and Local Legislatures and Governments to the benefit of all Middlesex County residents. The Office takes a lead rold in advocating for key issues and policies on behalf of the County. The Office also coordinates relationships between the County and organizations, media, business groups, partnership organizations, and the public.

The Office also facilitates public and private involvement and participation in the County's public policy and decision-making process as appropriate in coordination with the Freeholder Director and the Board of Chosen Freeholders and under the guidance of the County Administrator.
