The Middlesex County Office of Enterprise Software Applications is responsible for discovery, implementation and maintenance of all computer applications used throughout Middlesex County Departments.
The office works with all other County offices to identify business needs and translate them into software applications to improve workflow efficiencies.
The Enterprise Software Application team also works closely with the Office of Information Technology to ensure applications not only fit the needs of the departments, but also integrate efficiently within the framework of the County’s greater, overall information technology strategy.
The office is the home of the Division of GIS, which provides accurate, spatial information and Geographic Information System (GIS) applications to serve the citizens of Middlesex County across offices and departments. The map-based data to be developed, maintained and shared includes everything from park boundaries and traffic signals, zoning and tax parcels, floodplains, roads, facilities, and election data.
The Division assists with GIS application development and with integrating the technology into operations. The Division also oversees the technology that pertains to GIS server configuration and software. The GIS division also acts as the liaison to municipal and state agencies, and pursues GIS opportunities and strategic partnerships.
