The
Office of Communications is the principal point of contact for strategic
communication to County external stakeholders, including the media, residents,
businesses, municipalities and partners, and internal stakeholders inclusive of
employees and the Board of County Commissioners.
The
Office is also responsible for driving public and employee awareness of key initiatives
and policies; building and protecting the County’s reputation; developing
relationships and liaising with national, regional, and local press outlets by
cultivating and creating compelling stories and messages that make a positive
impact.
Additionally,
the Office of Communications manages and coordinates crisis communications as
needed and performs duties as may be assigned by the Board of County
Commissioners.
