Mail-in Ballots are available in the County Clerk's office and must be requested in writing by filling out a Civilian Mail-in Ballot Application. Your personal signature is required. The County Clerk's office must receive Mail-in Ballot Applications by mail no later than seven (7) days prior to the election date.
The County Clerk cannot accept faxed copies of an Mail-in Ballot Application since an original signature is required.

Applications for Mail-in Ballots are advertised in the County Newspaper fifty (50) days prior to a General, School or Primary election.

Any mail-in voter who fails to apply in writing for a Mail-in Ballot within seven (7) days prior to an election, may apply in person or by authorized messenger, to this office up to 3:00 p.m. the day before the election.
Military and Overseas Voters: If you are in the military or an overseas citizen desiring to vote in a Federal election, you may apply for an mail-in ballot by filling out the Federal Post Card Application. This application should be received in our office 30 days before a Federal election, which are held in even numbered years. If you are applying for a military or federal mail-in ballot after the 30 days, you may fax (732-745-2170) or e-mail us your application.
