IMPORTANT ALERT - All park events and picnics are currently suspended until April 30, 2020. Parks and open space will remain open to the public for passive recreation, including roads, parking areas, trails, lakes and other open space areas. However, restrooms, comfort stations, playgrounds, dog parks, basketball and tennis courts, the flying field, and similar facilities are closed until further notice in order to protect public health and safety. We ask that the public practice social distancing and refrain from large groups while enjoying our parks and open spaces.
- The Parks and Recreation Administration building has been temporarily relocated to 95 Apple Orchard Lane, North Brunswick, 08902. The location at 1030 River Road in Piscataway is closed and is undergoing significant upgrades.

Spring Lake Park
- The basketball courts will be shut down until further notice. We apologize for any inconvenience.
-The bridge between Picnic Grove 1B and 1C is currently closed and is in the process of being replced. We apologize for any inconvenience.
-Island Improvements: Work has started on improvements to the island in the Roosevelt Park Lake. New bulk head, pedestrian bridges, pathways and landscaping are planned for the island to help ensure longevity and provide for a better visitor experience. Additionally, the pathways around the Roosevelt Park Lake will be resurfaced in the Spring as a part of this project. Access to the island is closed and will remain until the completion of the work. We apologize for the inconvenience as we work to improve Roosevelt Park.
Thomas Edison Park
- Starting April 6, 2020, the running track at Thomas Edison Park will be closed until further notice for resurfacing.
