Sport Facilities

You may not be aware of it, but many Middlesex County municipalities and Schools use the athletic fields and courts in our County parks to conduct their sports programs. In providing these sites for their use, we are able to extend the opportunity to participate in organized sports to the largest possible number of our County's residents. If you are interested in finding out what team sports programs are available through your municipality, please call your local recreation department.

County Commissioner's Youth Basketball Tournament

The Office of Parks and Recreation holds a youth basketball tournament each March. This annual tournament, which is held at the Middlesex County Vocational School in Piscataway, has been a great hit with the County's young athletes.

Slow-Pitch Softball League

The Middlesex County Office of Parks and Recreation offers adult slo-pitch softball leagues in both the spring and the fall. Games for our Men’s, Women’s, and Co-Ed leagues will be held at both Thomas Edison Park, located in Edison Township, and William Warren Park, in Woodbridge Township. There is an entry fee for all teams. Space is limited and team applications are accepted on a first come, first served basis. For more information on these softball leagues, please contact our reservation desk at (732) 745-3900 or (732) 745-4222.

Reserve a Sports Field

If you are wishing to reserve a sports field, you need to fill out the Sports Request Form, attached below. Once your request is approved, you will need to supply a copy of liability insurance (insurance requirements are attached below).  All permits must be paid for and signed by the individual in charge of the team/league, in person, at the Parks Administration Office.
If you have any additional questions about sports fields, please e-mail Erin Carroll or call the reservation desk at (732) 745-3900.
