Information on having a picnic, hosting a special event, or having a wedding in one of our parks.

Many of our developed parks offer picnic facilities that may be reserved for picnics and special events. A reservation permit must be issued to reserve these areas for all organized group activities. 

Picnics

If you are looking to book a picnic in one of our Parks, please allow a minimum of two to four weeks when scheduling use of facilities. It may be useful to review the Frequently Asked Questions for Picnics as well as the three worksheets below for more information about the picnic areas and the new electronic reservation system. All picnic reservations will be done on our new Electronic Reservations System. Please note that the recommended browsers for this system are a current version of Microsoft Edge, Chrome, Firefox or Safari.
 
If you plan on having a caterer, bounce house, generator, or rented tents at your picnic, you must contact the Middlesex County Fire Marshal to see if you are required to get a fire permit. If you are having a bounce house at your picnic, click here to please make sure your vendor is on the state approved permitted ride list.​

Special Events

Those wishing to book a special event or walk must first contact the reservation desk to establish park availability. You will then be asked to download a request form which is attached below. All permits must be paid for and signed by the individual in charge of the event.

If you plan on having a caterer, bounce house, generator, or rented tents at your event, you must contact the Middlesex County Fire Marshal to see if you are required to get a fire permit. Click here to download the Fire Marshal Permit Application.

Please note Special Event Requests & Wedding Requests for 2022 will not be accepted until November 15, 2021.
 
 
If you are looking to use a park for a photo or video shoot, you must obtain a permit from our office. Please call our office if you have any questions, (732) 745-3900.
