A summer theater program for children and teens


Plays-in-the-Park's proud offspring, Kids-in-the-Park, is a summer program offered to Elementary School children, ages 9 through 12. This innovative summer theater workshop features music, dance, theater games, mime, clowning and creative dramatics taught by professional children's theater specialists. The two-week session concludes with a final theater production! Participants have a choice of one of three 2-week sessions held at the William Warren Park amphitheater in Woodbridge/Perth Amboy.
 
Kids-in-the-Park 2017
Children ages 9-12 attend Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Session 1: July 10 – July 21
Session 2: July 24 – August 4  CLOSED - SESSION 2 FILLED
Session 3: August 7 – August 18

ORIENTATION DATE: Thursday, July 6th, 2017 at 10AM at the Warren Park Amphitheater
 Fee: $65.00 per child for the two-week session.
Workshop fee includes T-Shirt (previously sold separately)

Teens in the Park

A summer performing arts workshop specifically created for young adults, ages 13-15. This three-week workshop includes instruction in acting, singing, dance, staging and development of scenery, props and costumes. Held in one three-week session at William Warren Park mini-theater in Woodbridge.

ORIENTATION DATE:  Thursday, July 6th, 2017 at 10AM at the Warren Park Amphitheater
Workshop Includes:
● Supervision and Direction by experienced Theater Specialists
● Afternoon hours: 1:00—4:00 pm, Monday through Friday
● Keyboard accompanist at every session
● Instruction in acting, singing, dance, staging & development of scenery, props & costumes
● Dress Rehearsal  
● Final performance & Printed Program
Fee: $75.00 per child for the three-week session
Workshop fee includes T-Shirt (previously sold separately)
