Join us for a heart-warming and patriotic celebration of the US of A from sea to shining sea! Stars and Stripes Forever, Yankee Doodle Dandy, New York, New York, a Bugle Boy and of course, God Bless The USA and America The Beautiful are just some of the tunes that will ring out! 
We hope you can join us on the lawn out under the stars - doors will open at 5:30 pm and admission this summer is FREE!​
We dedicate this performance to all members of the Armed Forces – near and far – especially those who have supported Plays-in-the-Park so generously through the years. We hope you can join us as we salute our men and women in uniform.

“Just let me hear some of that Rock & Roll music…” Sound familiar? Chuck Berry had it right! Who does not love an evening of some great Rock & Roll and a little SOUL!!! There will be a whole lotta shakin’ goin’ on with some Jerry Lee Lewis, a Boy From NYC, and of course some RESPECT, Devil With a Blue Dress On, Shake Rattle Roll, and Runaway to name a few.

Prepare yourself for a slice of musical theatre heaven! All Jerry Herman, all the time. SHOWTUNE delivers everything that its title promises…and then some! No lyric is left unsung in this joyful retrospective of Hernan’s phenomenal career in songwriting. Familiar tunes from such illustrious titles as Hello Dolly!, Mame, and La Lage Aux Folles will be stuck in your head long after this charming show ends. SHOWTUNE is the perfect celebration for the recipient of the 2009 Tony Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Theatre.

FAQs for our 2021 Summer Season

How much are tickets?
Admission is FREE all summer long.

What will seating look like?/Do I need to get tickets in advance?
Seating practices are going to be the SAME as pre-COVID, meaning doors will open at 5:30pm for chairs to be set up and the show will start at 8:00pm. Patrons still bring their own chairs with a back NO HIGHER THAN 40 inches (ex: folding chairs, soccer chairs, etc.). There will be no tickets sold in advance.

Will there be rain dates?
The first two shows America the Beautiful, and Rock Roll & Soul will only have ONE performance each, Friday, July 2nd, and Friday July 23rd respectively. The third show Showtune will have three performances Friday, August 13th, Saturday, August 14th, and Sunday August 15th . There will be NO RAIN DATES.

Will accessible seating/accommodations still be available?
Yes! There are still two sections, one on each side of the stage for accessible seating. You can come on the night of the show and we will ensure that you are accommodated, or you may call Diane at 732-548-2884, ext. 225 with any questions or to arrange any accommodations you may need.

Plays-in-the-Park is conveniently located one block south of the Menlo Park Mall off of Route 1, in Edison, N.J. The turn off is called Grandview Avenue. At the top of the short hill make your first right on to Pine Drive and the Park Rangers will guide you to a parking spot.
